Still Writing

I am not sure why I’m surprised I have continued writing, but it seems like the reigning emotion as I write this post. Very few people know about this endeavor. When I do talk about it, I feel shy. I don’t yet understand my feelings about writing and becoming an author.

I’m truly enjoying the process of writing. I have so many thoughts running through my mind about the book all the time. I keep my trusty yellow spiral-bound notebook close. I often jot things down, so I don’t forget. I also find the notebook is helpful to get the thoughts out of my head. I can feel pestered by the ideas, if they are not taken from my mind and written down.

I began writing in the notebook, but quickly moved to Word/Google Doc. I’m a digital girl, so I am not sure why I thought physically writing the info was the best to begin with. I am happy to sit at my computer and pour my thoughts onto the page.

One thing that bothers me is the book opening. I keep going back to the original “song” at the beginning of the book to adjust and tinker. I love the idea, but there is something off about the song itself. I will keep working on it.

Opening lines to the book scribbled on paper.
